I think I heard somewhere once that if any Jimi songs made it there would be no vocals(like the firs GH game for one of his songs).

Licensing prevents some songs I guess.

^I think the story with the first one was that they had 2 covers. One sounded so bad they didn't want to use it, and one sounded so similar to the original that they weren't allowed to use it. Which is why they kept the vocals out.

I had heard that Jimi's family didn't like anyone vocally covering his songs, that's the story I had heard but who knows.

It's probably more likely that it cost too much.

i heard that the singer on laid to rest ruined the song, and that he sounds nothing like randy blythe....which is hard to do

anyone had any freezing/stuttering issues with the game? ive heard a lot of people say their game freezes on certain songs.

I haven't run across any problems yet. Does it do it on any specific songs?

Nothing here, they even fixed the problem when I would leave the gh1 on for 24 hours straight and it would be laggy, not anymore!!!

anyways, I FINALLY GOT THE GUITAR!!!!!
now i can play GHII and replay GHI the way it was meant to be played.

I unlocked freebird and had no problems, granted it's a long ass song but i didn't have any skipping for freezing or anything.

I like the gold star, it's a nice little tweak to your set list page.

Just played for a while, unlocked the 5th tier. I used to be able to 5* most of the songs on expert in GHI, now that i've switched to the guitar I can barely play on medium. It feels totally different.

I once played with a regular controller while my niece used the guitar and i was 5 starring everything. Using the guitar, I can pass all medium songs, about half 5 star and the rest 3 and 4. I'm glad this one includes a practice mode. That's what kept me from playing the first one more, I think.

btw whats the proper way of wearing the strap? Obviously you can't wear both straps or else the guitar is right at your neck. I wear one of the straps, but the other strap is basically right on top of the guitar. It doesnt seem right.

hmm...the new controller has an extra strap nub, most likey for leftys. if you take the original controller and switch it for a left, there's no strap nub for you to hold it with.

So you're supposed to use the nub on the left only? I've been hooking it up to both all along...ill try that next time.

anyways, i got up to medium today. Played about 3 tiers, most of the songs I 4 starred, some 5*. I'm not too impressed with the tracklist, though.

my controller on has two nubs, one near the neck and one in the center of the edge of the body.

I'm currently trying to get all perfects on easy and then I'm going back to medium to try and get all five stars.

And yeah, the tracklist is a little subpar this time around. I liked the first one way better.

Yeah it might be a manufacturing problem since so many people are experiencing it. However, i've heard it works fine if you clean your PS2 a bit.

That's weird. I haven't had any problems yet and my ps2 is on it's way out the window.
