i wanna transfer to the top pipes, how do i do that?

towards the end of the pipe, near where you exit, there are red bars up on the other pipes. if you press O while in the air you'll do a handplant.

you cant be doing a trick though and switch to the handplant, in my experience at least.

quite frankly, its not worth it, although it is cool as hell to be up there

I have to say, handplants are one of the coolest things they could have added to SSX.
