For freestyle runs, what's the best way of maxing out points from ubers (once you're not worried about filling up the letters): is it holding down a big one? Hitting a bunch of small ones?

i want to know what exactly the s on the bottom of the bar is for.

after you fill up super and uber, theres an s on the bottom.

is that when you have to try to do those monster tricks gondee was talking about?

It has nothing to do with UBERS actually. It has been in all the SSX games. It stands for SWITCH, which is basically you are riding on the 'back' side of the board, IE. if MOBY always rides with his right foot forward, when he is riding with his left forward it will show the "S" for reference.
