and quite simply, i think this is going to contend with Total Annihilation (a PC rts released in 97 that revolutionized my thoughts of what a game should be) as being the best game ever. i already know how this game is played, i know how the control feels just by looking at it, and the best part is, i dont know so much more that its making me go crazy.

i didn't realize that it was broken down into 3 peaks with 5 or more courses each, which is friggin amazing btw. thats going to offer a much bigger challenge to everyone to manage the top scores for racing and showoff, with more people doing them.

the thing that i figured out last night was that SSX3 is just SSX2, as if Tricky never existed with its increase of amazingly bright colors and candy land rails. it exudes so much of the feeling that came from original ssx, from the chicks voice echoing when you do some ubers to the darker environments and much butter shading and speed that tricky just feels like a practice game for ea BIG...

cant wait.

Wow, a very poinant and true statement. This game truly has the full package, but I am suprised that your just getting it! And yes, after a life with SSX3, many will have a bitter sweet feeling about the days of Tricky.

Yeah I can't wait either. Only 16 more days! :)

I do believe that SSX 3 is a true sequel of SSX. Tricky is more like a remake, only that it took place a year later.

Yeah, Tricky and SSX were very much alike (in terms of the actual game I mean), but SSX 3 is a whole new model. Which is why it's 10 times more exiting!

I think you'll have to fight everyone else for that, including me. :heh It'll take a few weeks before we start accepting them though, because "Master Runs" are the best runs for a particular course, and the "best" for a particular course won't be known until the scoreboard has filled out a little. :china

Like I said... I am going to obess myself over a particular course finding out the KEY scores!!!

Also, have you ever thought of starting a video tutorial??? One where someone could basically record themselves playing the game for people who are trying to complete the trick book, races,etc...

gondee, but you could collect and show some movie-clips that are far more spectacular than the ones on ssx3.com or ign.

Maybe that would be a nice addition to Merqury City: spectacular and fun movie-clips, send in by users. Quota allowing.. :)

That is what I am talking about...

Gamingnerd records SOOOOOOOOO many fun videos where he does insane stuff.... If bandwith can handle it, especially with SSX3's WIDE AREAS, I think this would be a key area to add to the SSX3 part of merqurycity!

You beat me to it. :)

But, yes, such clips could even be educational.. (these types of arguments sell well :wink)

No kidding!! They may not be record breaker's but they DO go through the path of the masters, and I add a little extra to them...if things suddenly happen (my famous uber grinding for example!). I mean, my highest score EVER is 2.3 in Merq. City...not the best, but DOES have some pretty neat tricks to it, I believe! :heh

That sounds like a great idea! Sometimes even when something's not special for being fast or creating a huge score, it just looks AWESOME. :)

And what we usually do is set it to music and call it a music video. :D

No thank you! The final Tricky vid's good enough of a music video as it IS!! I'm not spendin' 30+ days trying to figure out a song that can fit PERFECTLY with a unmaster run with cool tricks!!!

It doesn't necessarily have to have a song... Maybe just the song that is playing in the background since SSX3 is going to have a quite variety of music...

Back on topic, I just saw the 3rd Trailer at www.gametrailers.com which I think is the intro movie that others were talking about (I doubt it is) but it's awesome and I can't wait to get SSX 3 even more now! It's pretty interesting that whole sections of the tracks collapse during the races and stuff; you really, really have to watch out for things while riding. hehe :eek
