Welcome to the new Fanart Forum everyone! I'll be your host, Krystony, and I'd like to draw your attention to the purpose of this nifty little board.

Art is NOT just drawings! Post your SSX fan art, fan fiction, fan poetry, fan ANYTHING here! As long as it has to do with the SSX series, it fits right in. :yes

So to get stared, here's my first (perhaps the first?) SSX 3 fanart! I hope we all like the new chick in town, Allegra:

:eek

Still stunned from when you sent me this awesome piece Krystony! Awesome awesome awesome! :D Very :pimp!

How long does it take you to do a piece like this? I know that whenever I colored my Zoe piece: Image

It took me like all day (like 12 hours!) to color the whole thing...It was a LOT of work. How long does it take you?

Mon Sep 29, 2003 6:59 am

Thanks Gondee! ^_^ It took me a while to get that one together. I wanted to make sure I had her t-shirt and board down.
Yeah, computer coloring takes a LONG time! I usually work off-and-on on a piece, but if I did it all in one sitting, I'm guessing maybe 6 hours. 0_o And longer if I'm trying new stuff and experimenting. Phew!

I really like that picture you did of Zoe! You really got all the colors down perfect. Awesome job on the board too. What did you color that in?

Mon Sep 29, 2003 11:55 am

I did that piece in Photoshop...it was my first piece and I did it pretty much by hand. The only thing I don't like about it are the rough edges, but I realize that was just because I wasn't real comfortable with coloring stuff electronically. Mostly I just draw in pencil, heheh. :)

Mon Sep 29, 2003 2:53 pm

Wow Krystony, that's amazing. :eek

The style, the detail, the talent. Other than some proportional problems it's :pimp .

Mon Sep 29, 2003 3:34 pm

Thanks Krispy. ^_^ Yeah, I see there are some anatomy problems. If I could say one thing in the world was the hardest to draw, I would say it's people snowboarding! @_@

Gondee: That was your first piece in Photoshop?! Holy! Looks a lot better then my first piece! Computer coloring definably takes some getting used to. Plus having a tablet makes it a lot less painful. ^^;

Mon Sep 29, 2003 3:48 pm

Jeez, you've got a tablet? :wtf :eek No wonder, :lol! I had to do that whole piece with a mouse, but I may get a tablet here soon. I haven't colored a piece since that one took me so long. I may get started again though. :)

Mon Sep 29, 2003 4:10 pm

Yeah, I started out with a mouse too. That's a factor that makes coloring take a lot longer. Once you've had the tablet, you'll never go back! Speeds it up, gets better details and man, it's just generally a blessing. =D

Woooooo this one is very great Krystony ! Hey i could not do the 1/10 of this

Tue Sep 30, 2003 1:24 pm

Heheh, I was like "1/10"?! :heh I was like "you better give it a higher rating... :lol Then I realized you were saying you couldn't do "one-tenth" of that :)

1/10th? I can hardly draw someone sitting down. But I'm sure I will add to the art board in other ways... dun dun dun.

Though I've not tried to draw any characters, I guess my snowboard I made might be fitting in this thread. Here's the link to the page for it:

Whoa, Firebrand! Cool board! You rendered that up yourself, eh? That's pretty cool. What program do you use to make 3-D art like that? I envy anyone who can do 3-D stuff like you got there... it must take so much time and patience! Cool beans!

Krispy: OoooOOoOOooo... I want to know what kind of stuff you're going to contribute! Can't we even have a little teaser or something? =D

All looking at fanart does (besides distracting me from homework because of all the pretty pictures) is make me realize about my serious lack of artistic skill :cry
But at least I can try my hand at fanfiction! And console myself with showing you all the marvelous adventures I have with the SSX characters as Rosalinda Bue Tiful, the newest heart throb of the circuit! Just joking. I don't use Mary Sues, I swear... or do I? :)

Hey, you made it! I'm really glad you decided to join Peppermint. This right here everyone, is the best SSX fic writer I've seen on the net! Welcome, welcome! :cheers

Wed Oct 01, 2003 12:06 pm

Oh stop you. Keep up with all the loose flattery, and pretty soon I'll start referring to myself in the third person and demand compensation for my stories.
Silence, peasant! Peppermint demands payment for her work! Advertisements! Interviews! A free gallon of ice cream for every chapter! Now make it so, before Peppermint squashes your insolent little website!
In short, very bad.

Wed Oct 01, 2003 1:36 pm

Im gonna try to make some new fanart with my friend, if i can convince him to work... :[

Wed Oct 01, 2003 4:30 pm

Haha! Alright, sorry Peppermint, I'll stop with the compliments. :china Welcome anyways though!

Great stuff! :yes Our first official (non-mod Krystony :wink, heheh) fan art! :D

Do you mind if I put that on the site?

Also, Yuki, I activated your account, so you should be able to log-in under your own name. :china

Cool beans Yuki! What's that done with? Watercolor? It's got really nice colors. And I like the fact that it's done in a lesser-used medium too. Very cool! :dj

Thu Oct 02, 2003 12:17 pm

I love the coloring job you did, Yuki! Especially on the pants. It looks all 3-D and stuff. :yes

Thu Oct 02, 2003 1:00 pm

Great job! Can anyone create a 3-d model of a character and post it here?

Thu Oct 02, 2003 9:16 pm

what kind of model are you looking for?.. do you have someting to go on?
