OK, it's not a great score, considering it was in Tokyo Megaplex.
But you gotta remember that Tricky is my first game played hardcore since I played Super Mario and Final Fantasy on my little brother's Gameboy! (And I mean the brick with the pea-green screen.) I'm a 36 year old mother. I'm old and tired, gimme a break. :woot

I'm not out to break any records; heck, that'll never happen. My only goal with this game now, since I've gotten all the chars to master (even the ones I hate), and have finished all of their trick books, is to beat the scores I've already gotten.

The other day I pulled off my first million point run.
I figured it was a fluke, but the next day I got a little over 1,100,000.

So yeah, I realize that on Tokyo that's a suck score. But I'm proud of it b/c it's the best I've ever gotten. :)

For me Tokyo is difficult to score high in because the ground is fraught with obstacles, but the top rails require true mastery to stay on all the way to the end (at least, for me).

Ah.. the first million... Me remembers... it was on Garibaldi back in ye olde days... Fun stuff.

bookwitch, good luck with breaking your records. Things will get easier after a while. Have you seen any of the videos of the highscores we've got? Maybe those can help you in the process... Anyways, hope you'll have a nice crackin' at your scores! Let us know your progress! :yes

I don't remember my first 1KK, but I do remember two suprise ones. Somehow I managed to score 1 million on Mercury City Meltdown and Alaska without even noticing! Guess I was too concentrated on the actual doing rather than the checking. Needless to say, I got Gold.

I have on occasion rode the rails all the way to the end, but yes, it is difficult.
I do as many ubers as I can (I think the max was 32 in Tokyo). I'm getting more confident, especially since, once you've filled up all the letters in Tricky, you don't lose boost, so you really have nothing to lose by trying riskier moves just to see if you can land 'em.

I've seen some of them, but I need to watch more, I think.
And yes, it is fun trying to break my own scores. :) (Of course, my daughter still thinks I'm mean to Brodi. And I've hit his head on things so many times my husband is sure I've gotten him down from a master's degree to about a 3rd grade education.)

that is unbelievable, I took one/two months to reach one million.

My first million was in garibaldi ( I think most of people have their first mill in garibaldi) after that I reached 1 million in MCM. Getting 1 million first time is really great moment :lol .

Learn how to Google. Much easier to just type it there rather than ask it here: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+does+omg+mean ;)

I believe I once read on these forums that one got his/her(?) first mill on SD, which is quite impressive, but it might be just load of crap..

And yes, getting 1st mill the first day you play SSX Tricky isn't THAT hard...

I've actually hit 1 mil on Garibaldi now as well.

I use JP on occasion, just because his tricks seem to rack up quicker. (My husband says that's because most people hate the bastard and EA had to give people SOME reason to play him. heh.)

I love using Zoe, too. And I can rack up some mean scores with Mac. All the same, I use Brodi most often. His tricks don't add up as quickly...although a friend of mine who plays most of the SSX games more than I do tells me he doesn't feel that's fair, because Brodi's so friggin tall some of his tricks are actually harder to pull off unless you have HUGE air, and it's more difficult to get more than two tricks in one jump.

Regardless, it's all fun. :)

Thanks for the encouragement, guys!

Yeah my first Million was on Garibaldi, although it could have been Tokyo.M
I'd say they are both the easiest ones to break it on though?
