800980 on classic merqury city meltdown

Could've been 820k but I landed on a bus and crashed on the first 3x jump after the bridge. Otherwise, it was truly flawless... and it only took 15 hours of recording to get x_X

If I sent a tape to gamingnerd to be captured, would this and my 659k pipedream make the next master runs?

I took that picture with my digital camera... just aimed at the screen and shot. There's no way my ancient videocamera could take stills O_O

Trust me...Get a vid. capture card for your comp. It REALLY pays off! You'll be able to record LIVE runs MUCH easier than just using up your VCR/Camera's lifespan! :wink

Alright! That just made my day n_n

The tape's already recorded and labelled and whatnot, and as soon as I make a box for it, it's outta here.

Either one of two things could be going on with it...

a) It's not even on its way yet...
I asked my dad to get it mailed by last Tuesday, and when I left on Friday (I'm never home on weekends <<), it wasn't mailed yet and he said he would make a box and have it sent on Friday. Soo either he hasn't mailed it yet or

b) It's in gamingnerd's PO Box and he can't get it yet, cause it's Sunday and he didn't get his mail yet.

Except it's not Tricky ;P

I never knew people actually cared about classic scores ^^; and with SSX3 out, I was especially surprised they are making the master runs... but yeah, it's on its way to gamingnerd

So tell me the amount of runs we've got for SSX, and the amount of runs we've got for Tricky... :??? BlackDth is going to have to start taping like CRAZY for all courses, and start working hard on them so we can have just as many runs as Tricky!.....Ok, so maybe you shouldn't go THAT overboard, but at least a vid for every course so people can see how it's done "properly".

Sadly though, the vid won't be captured, till almost X-mas time, because I don't have an available VCR to carry to my comp and get captured :( I know how much that sucks to you all, but you're just gonna have to wait! But I'm SURE it'll be worth the wait!

This is a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT from gondee.

Those vids are the most awesome SSX vids I've seen other than grandmort's 1 mil EA run. BlackDth, you are truly inventive on those courses. :china I was getting excited just watching them! :china :D :wink

I will upload them onto the Master Runs as soon as Grandmort uploads the new set up, which should be in a few days. If not, I'll pressure him to get it up sooner so everyone can see these! :D

I totally agree with you gondee (I am sure gamingnerd agrees too)

These videos, as I told Blackdth last night, are simply... INSANE!!

*Puts serious consideration into going BACK to SSX and trying these courses out :D*

:lol I told ya Chaos, something like that could happen once you saw those vids! But you know, it's a good break for ya, since you're bustin' records left and right (actually your OWN records) and to me they're "unreachable" enough, especially your Kick Doubt one (Can't WAIT to see how you do it! :pimp ) I'm DEFINATELY sure NO ONE will be disappointed in seeing TRUE mastery in SSX...It's too bad I don't own SSX, but it looks like I'm just about ready to go buy it! :dj

My excuse is simple. I got into SSX well after Tricky was out (about 5 months ago!) and have been into Tricky during that whole period, and with the amount of time I put into it, I've NEVER got around to even thinking about buying SSX. Hope that's a good enough excuse for ya! :dj :china

They most certainly will!!!

As I stated in the Daily Merqury News, those are just incredible runs!

Ok, so I compressed both files and reduced their sizes by more than half...
Pipedream movie is now 17MB instead of 41.6MB
Merqury City movie is now 24.8MB instead of 60.6MB
Unfortunately, we losing the sound because QuickTime Pro can not extract (create) a sound track from a MPG file, There is nothing I can do about that.
(Anybody up for a VMP conversion if this is something that's actually possible?)

Ok, as far as posting them before Thanksgiving, well, since the movies are now compressed, I guess I could try to put something together and have them up on the site, even if not yet on the "unfinished" new Master Runs layout...

I'll try to come up with something later tonight, or tomorrow before my turkey dinner!
I can't guarantee anything though, but at least I can promise that they will be up sometimes over this long coming weekend no matter what...

:)

Hooray! ^-^

I'm gonna be glued to my computer all night waiting for this update....

And as for the compression, it's not like sound is that big of a deal. I actually thought sound was always dropped in the compression, because when I downloaded the other runs at my school (I was downloading at over 650k per second the other day @_@ I got the Masters of SSX Tricky video in about 2 minutes), I noticed they had no sound. I figured this was the same with all of the runs, until I watched the Masters video, and I was sure that one was SUPPOSED to have sound! But it didn't really have an effect on how great those movies were.

...the other master runs have sound on them, right?
