You adding us doesn't do anything unless you give us your number in return. :D

BTW, picked up Blur this afternoon, I'll give my impressions tomorrow after I've played it tonight.

Picked it up last night, and I'm still getting used to the new control scheme, but at this point this feels more like "SSX Light" than an actual improvement from previous games.

Only four grabs and no tweaking versus 30 on previous games (including tweaks)

Can't initiate a Flip and a spin with the same motion. You have to perform the two separately. And I often get a spin when I was trying to do a flip.

Uber controls are really awkward. Unless you have a LOT of air time you pretty much have to do Uber's by themselves without flips/spins (other than whatever incidental flips/spins might result from the uber motion). Uber's just take too much effort to do much else with them.

Board presses are gone along with the combo system. This doesn't bother me too much, though since I always thought the SSX combo system was kinda flawed.

And I think worst of all, NO BOOST!!! How can it be an SSX game without boost? I really miss being able to quickly gain speed by hopping on a rail and hitting the boost button.

Also, the interface is really poorly designed. First of all, they completely ignore the default Wii setting for the Sensor bar position and just assume its above the TV (with no in game option to change it). This means I have to aim the Wiimote really awkwardly low to select options on the bottom of the screen with my sensor bar below the TV. Also, default selections are poorly chosen. When I fail a challenge or race, the defaul selection should be to try again so I can just quickly mash the A button and get going again. Instead the default option is to quit/continue, and there doesn't seem to be any way other than the Wiimote pointer to select other options.

Board presses are there, I'm not sure about the combos system - push C button to do a board press, rotate the nunchuk to keep yoru balance.

Dude, boost is the GROOVE meter, push Z to use it - don't jump to conclusions. ;)

Yeah, I just found these. However, neither the tutorial nor the "Complete Controls" section of the instruction booklet make any mention of boosting or board presses. The only place there's any sort of mention of these features is under the controls section of the in-game options. They also make a big deal of how the "GROOVE meter" which obviously replaces the old boost guage is supposedly "new" to SSX Blur. If its still just used to store up boost, how is that "new"?

One other thing that seems to be missing that I forgot in that last post is rail-ubers.

I've only had about an hour of playing, but I'm loving it so far. The graphics are pretty, the controls are smooth. However i'm having trouble forgetting to actually turn my hand instead of the control stick, so I keep crashing hahah...just gotta get used to it.

And I wish you didn't have to hit A to land (most) tricks, i forget to do that to and wipe out.

Won't have it until the 15th but my Wii buddy number is 1778 9027 2153 9882. I'll add you guys (first buddies I've added :heh ).

Maybe I'll see some of your Mii's floating around - might even encourage me to make some SSX ones!

Edit: actually, you might see a Brodi one that my mother made one day on my Wii. Brodi is her favourite SSX character and she's a bit of an SSX nut. And she's 70.... :rock She's already pre-ordered Blur too.
