I plan on tackling this this weekend after finals, so there should be an update then. I haven't gotten any submissions so I'll be finishing out the rest of the guide the best I can.

Okay, I updated the guide to version 0.07. I'm going to try and tackle a track a day for Shreds, and get them all pumped out in a week or two with vix helping me.

What I need most right now: Showoff guides for any tracks (even scrubby ones will work for now)

Master Showoff Track guides

A guide for the final events for Showoff (Big Show Slopestyle and Big Race).

I was reading the walkthrough for the BTS Pipe Medal event:

"Start by doing the 180 trick right away on the slope
and you should have 27-30x combo and have it with about 1:52 left on the clock."

What is this trick? I've been doing the tail-press & tap jump trick and can't get my combo that high that quick. I don't see it anywhere else in the FAQ ( it's not in the "Advanced Techniques" section - which btw has two "Technique #4" s ).

TIA!

I'm pretty sure it's the tail press and tap jump trick, that's really the only 180 trick in SOT. I'll fix that technique # issue. :)

The 180 trick (though it shouldn't be called that in OT) is where you do the press jump trick and rotate with the D-pad. It makes so you don't need an upwards hill to do it and it's much faster.

Version 0.08 is out. Major updates since last time are about half of all the shreds are completed. I decided it was important enough to get that side of the guide as completed as it could be. Vix is helping me out as well. Thanks vix! :china :)

Well... actually, yu just have to be on somewhat flat ground. If the ground is too sloped, your jumps will be too high. The quicker you tap, the lower your jump should be, and the quicker you'll hit thr ground again. This can be done on Skis as well, but Pivot works better than Tail Press. Though, when doing this trick, your boost meter should NOT be Yellow/Magenta. If it is, you might possibly lose your skis/board when you jump, so be caureful.

Version 0.09 is released. I'm going to be updating it a little more tonight.

We still need a lot of guides for the competition events if people are looking to contribute. :) If not, gondee's gonna transcribe from the Master Runs. :heh

Thanks Ice. No biggie either way. We've got enough Master Runs that I can put a serious dent in the competitive guides if need be. :china

Is there anything you need beside the guides? I haven't contributed yet. :heh

Shred guides are always nice. If not that then I guess the control schemes for the Gamecube and X-box versions. It's kind of tough, I filled out whatever I could soon after it was released. :heh

New version is out! Shreds done! I intend on writing the remaining medal guides from videos and finishing up this FAQ. It's inexcusable I waited so long between updates, but I don't want to leave an incomplete FAQ on my reputation. :)

You're probably right, but that's not the point. The point is leaving the guide unfinished. That's not what I want my rep to be in the video game community, therefore I'm finishing it.

I'm not soliciting submissions, I'm gonna finish it by myself. I wouldn't get any anyway, no one likes or cares about this game anymore, and with good reason. I don't even like playing it to write guides for the different shreds and medal competitions. :heh
